Who the Program is For

Our program is designed for families seeking a small, nurturing learning environment with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning, outdoor exploration, and thoughtful academic foundations.

Red River Microschool currently serves children ages 5–7, beginning with a kindergarten class in our first year. Our long-term vision is to grow slowly and intentionally by adding one grade level at a time each year.

As the school grows, our plan is to continue offering a kindergarten class each year, while also adding the next grade level as our original students move forward. For example, as our first group of kindergarten students progresses into first grade, we hope to welcome a new kindergarten class alongside them. Over time, this allows the school to expand in a steady, sustainable way while maintaining small class sizes and strong relationships.

Class Size & Student–Teacher Ratio

We intentionally keep our school very small.

• Maximum of 12 students per class

• Two teachers in the classroom

• 1:6 teacher-to-student ratio

This allows us to truly know each child, provide individualized attention, and create a calm, connected learning environment.
